Trying Hypnosis For a Better Body

Hypnosis seems to be a crock a lot of the time, but I think that depends on a person’s mind set of what hypnosis can do for them. Over the past 3 months, I have been doing a “Metabolism Booster” 20 minute hypnosis. I think it helps, even if I haven’t shed pounds like crazy! If nothing else, having the session helps me zone out and de-stress (it’s also great for falling asleep before bed). It may seem silly, but maybe it’s easier to do in the comfort of one’s own home rather than in an office where you can spend hundreds of dollars.

I’ve used hypnosis for getting in better shape, even if I haven’t moved. The sessions that I began trying are done by Brenda Kaye. Her session for weight loss, or just getting motivated for exercise, is called “Expand your Mind, Shrink your Body.” Personally, I listen while I sleep and the experience still has an effect, but I think the effect is greater when I listen to it while I am awake and fall into the session.

Here are a few tips I learned in a public, non-recorded session with Brenda –

1) Avoid using the word “lose.”

Why? Because, from our social structure, we see losing as BAD. To remove this, using the words “shed” or “melt” helps. It keeps the mind from trying to hold on to that extra baby fat!

2) Don’t be afraid of relaxing and treating yourself to some “Me time.”

Why? Stress affects how you eat and how the body holds on to certain foods. Take a break, even if it seems like you’re swimming in work.

3) Put skeptical thoughts aside and just go with the flow.

Why? You don’t have to believe in it right away, but if you’re going to try just set any skeptical thoughts aside. They’ll make it very difficult to focus on the session and then the session is pretty useless. (I speak from experience, but once those thoughts are aside, you at least benefit from being less stressed out.) 😀

I haven’t tried other hypnotists yet, but Brenda Kaye’s works for me. She has many other types of session for just about anything that is bothering you. For more information, go to her the address below:

Hello everyone!

I have started an e-Bay store that, I hope, takes off. Feel free to take a peek and share the link with your friends. If you’ve been looking for an item, let me know. I may have one to sell but haven’t put it up yet because I want to see how this selling thing goes.

Thank you!

I’ve been feeling sick the past couple of days, which is why there haven’t been new posts, and I thought I’d post this to amuse you all. If you like Black Butler, you will be extremely confused. Sorry if you’ve seen the video before on YouTube in your own spare time! (Sorry for any cussing/profanity in the video, I didn’t make it.)

My Latest Game Addiction

This online game, The Star Project, is my latest addiction; and is similar to My Candy Love,if anyone here has played it. I’m on both of these games but The Star Project doesn’t require action points (APs) and only depends on each stars’ energy level. You only start with one person at first and gain characters as you play.

Brief Description of the game:

In The Star Project, you are a manager of stars and are having troubles paying off a debt that you owe to some thugs (trying not to give too much away!). Then this boy comes and saves you from the gangsters and he wants to be a star. In essence, it’s a game that involves making the guy, Toyua, a star! He sighs a contract with you (which you really do write up), and you go to the different cities trying to get jobs. You have part-time jobs that you work at for money, appearances that require less energy and help level up your star, and places that you can go to for dates. Dates can be romantic in nature but also make your star happier and less stressed. The down-time improves the star’s mood, which leads to a higher success rate.

Some of the game features:

  • No Action Points
  • Free
  • Online
  • Multiple Play-throughs
  • Multiple Languages
  • Name the Stars & Your Company
  • Some-what Challenging

Thoughts On Brave New World

I’m reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley for my AP Literature and Composition class, and at this point in time, it’s very upsetting. Training children to hate books?! The horror! I also find myself comparing it to the caste system, since they have Alphas and such, of the Dwarves in Dragon Age, and I know that’s silly but that’s how I see it. Especially when there was a mention of dwarves. I am finding it interesting but I’m not sure if I’m going to like the book if this continues the way it is.

Now I must know, does it get better or worse? That’s all I need to know, because I need a little push to continue the book and actually know what I’m reading with some hope that it won’t end too horribly.

PewDiePie Funnies

This is a video of some of PewdiePie’s funniest moments (yes I am a Bro *brofist*). I know this deviates from what I normally post, but I had a really bad day and this made me laugh, so I shall share it with all of you.

Though to give something that is normal to my posts, I shall give a small quote that might fit with this!

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.” ~ Albert Einstein
